MEDICAL DIRECTOR, PHYSICAN
Paldeep S. Atwal, MD, FACMG, FRCP(UK), FRCP(Glasg)
Dr. Atwal is a board-certified clinical and medical biochemical geneticist. He formerly served as Mayo Clinic’s Medical Director for the Center for Individualized Medicine and Clinical Lead for the Department of Clinical Genomics at the Jacksonville campus. He is a fellow of both The American College of Medical Genetics & Genomics and The Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
Dr. Atwal’s clinical interests include clinical genomics, undiagnosed diseases following lengthy diagnostic odysseys and inborn errors of metabolism including mitochondrial diseases. Through his work, he has helped discover two new genetic connective tissue syndromes that results from defects in the FLNA & AEBP1 genes, helped develop an untargeted metabolomic screening test for inborn errors of metabolism, and has published extensively on human genetics with over 100 publications to date.

Herjot Kaur, PharmD.
Throughout her career as a Licensed Pharmacist, She possess a history in the provision of drug information to other health professionals, patients and their families, and the public. For over 8 years, she has full practical experience in diverse settings including outpatient, transplant, polypharmacy, and pharmacogenomics. She brings diverse experience in polypharmacy consultations and patient counseling.
PRACTICE MANAGER
Julia Lally, MBA
As Practice Manager, Julia Lally is responsible for overseeing all administrative and business operations aspects of Atwal Clinic. Ms. Lally graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Health Service Administration from UCF and a Masters in Business Administration from Florida Institute of Technology. She has been with the Clinic since 2018 and helped establish the Atwal Foundation. Her previous experience includes consulting with PWN Health, interning at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville in the Genomics Department, and Revenue Cycle.
Julia has a passion for helping others and long standing interest in medical research. Her personal motto is “Let no one ever come to you without leaving better or happier” and is willing to help our patients in any way she can.
